Dogging
WorkSafe Victoria describes dogging and dogmen as: “Workers who need to exercise judgement to sling loads or who direct crane movement from outside the crane operator’s full view (such as with whistle signals or radio).”
Rigging
Traditionally, a rigger was someone who used hoists and pulleys. In more recent times, the construction industry has expanded the term rigging to include the use of mechanical load shifting equipment. The course itself is 9 hours a day.
SCAFFOLDING
Being a scaffolder involves setting up or dismantling scaffolding to create work platforms and handrails on buildings or constructions sites. Although there are different types of work that go with the different levels of scaffolding.

Hoists
A statement of attainment is issued by CTI and a High Risk Licence will be issued by WorkSafe Victoria, after lodging your paperwork at Australia Post within 60 days at a cost of $64.
Platforms
This course describes the skills and knowledge required to operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform (boom length 11 meters or more). This includes: planning the work, conducting routine checks.
