The only prerequisite for this course is that the student needs to be 18 years or older.

Due to the practical requirements of this course, there is an in-person assessment. The practical demonstration component takes place on the purpose-built Construction Training International training ground in Riddells Creek, Victoria. This site has accommodation for those coming from far away. Some students may have access to their own site with the right equipment for their training. If the venue meets the requirements, we can send our qualified assessors and trainers to you to complete the course at your own site.
Should you choose to come to our training site, you can expect to see a full range of elevating work platforms, mobile cranes, forklifts, bobcats, excavators and more to meet all your training needs.
Each of or trainers and assessors hold a Certificate 1V in Training and Assessment, so you can expect the professional standard of training for which we have become renowned.
Along with the in-person assessment, this course has an online component in which the material is presented using video, audio, graphic and guided content through the learning portal. Successful completion of the online component requires the use of a computer with a modern internet browser and an ADSL 2 connection.
A Statement of Attainment will be issued by CTI upon successful completion of the course, and a High-Risk Work Licence will be issued by WorkSafe Victoria after lodging your Competent Notice of Assessment Online at a cost of $66.60.
This is a two-day course.
The cost of this course is $650.00 (GST Exempt). It can be completed as part of the RII30915 General Certificate III in Civil Construction course, in which case eligible students may be able to access a government subsidy. There is a total of seven core units and 18 Electives in the full RII30915 course.
If students are unable to complete the online component through the learning portal, the material can be sent via email, or it can be posted for an additional fee of $20.
